NEW CITY IS COMMITED TO THE SPIRITUAL UPBRINGING OF OUR KIDS! We have an exciting and fun children's ministry at New City called NewCityKidz for upto 6th grade. So, bring your kids and have a blast!
The philosphy of the children's ministry is to be gospel-centered. Our goal is to engender a love for God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. So, while we teach morality (rules), the focus of our teaching is on the character of God, the beauty and power of God.
NewCityKidz! (pre-school to 6th grade) takes place in Rehearsal Room on the fourth floor of the New LATC. We worship together with adults at Theater 1 until sermon time when kids go up to the 4th floor Rehearsal Room for their own worship time and age appropriate program. So, just bring the kids with you to worship. You will be given instructions regarding kids.
Our Children's pastor is Shirley Rayburn (shirley@newcitychurchla.com). She comes with over 12 years of full time children's pastor experience. She is caring, thoughtful, loving, and simply the best children's pastor anywhere!
miniNewCityKidz! (they start to receive babies at 9:50am)
INFANTS: a nursery for infant children is at the Green Room in LATC during the worship service. Just take the elevator to 1BR. We have awesome and highly qualified caretakers (for example, we have mothers and even an NICU nurse) for your babies so that you can worship without worrying about your baby. Our nursery ratio is often one baby to one caretaker or at most two babies to one caretaker.
TODDLERS: the toddlers' nursery is at the Founders Room, which is down the stairs next to the restrooms. You can also take the elevator to Floor 1B. Ask any host team member when you get to the church where the Founders Room is.
Students in Jr. High and high school worship with the adults. We are in the process of planning an exciting week day youth group for our junior high and high school students. More to come!
